Falling For Fall:

It's that time of year already! Many coffee shops, including Starbucks, are releasing their seasonal fall drink menu that seduces you for the warm and cozy colorful brinks of fall. Who doesn't want to curl up in a blanket with a warm chai latte, a pumpkin spice latte, or an apple cider? The holidays are the perfect time to wind down and to slow down. It's time to treat yourself to something kind and sweet as we inch closer to the end of the year. Nothing warms your soul more than a warm latte and pumpkin cake. I think we're 'falling' for fall. How about you? Cozy up with us and our favorite fall drinks and desserts!


Pumpkin Spice Latte: By Gemma Stafford

Autumn in a mug. OBSESSED.

Ingredients

1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar

2 tablespoons pumpkin puree

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice & sprinkle of cardamom

1/2 cup (4oz / 8 TBSP) of brewed Hanna Bee Coffee: Whole Bean Dark Choc Floral & Citrus | Medium Dark Roast OR pull two shots of espresso.

1/3 cups (3oz / 5 - 6 TBSP) almond milk

1/2 tsp of vanilla extract


Instructions

In a saucepan add in all of your ingredients.

  1. Stir and bring the ingredients to a simmer.

  2. Take the saucepan off the heat and pour it into your mug.

  3. Decorate with freshly whipped cream and sprinkles of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon. Enjoy!


Chai Latte By: Madi at Snacks & Sips

Sweet, Spice & Everything Nice!

Good chai is a tough one to make on your own, but try this popular recipe by Madi at Snacks & Sips for an easy homemade treat! As a Starbucks barista myself, I've included minor adjustments or additions to these recipes to better serve your craving for quality and pleasure!


Ingredients: 2 Servings:

  • 2 black tea bags (recommend: add one extra teabag to each serving for stronger tea taste)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 1/2 cup almondmilk or oat milk

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add in the tea bags (for two servings, use two teabags for average tea, or double up to four teabags for stronger tea)

  2. Steep tea for 7-10 minutes.

  3. Add in the choice of milk and honey to the saucepan, reducing the heat to medium and warming the milk.

  4. Using a frother or immersion blender, blend until frothy (optional)

  5. Transfer to cups and serve topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg on top!


Coffee Cake Recipe By: Kristyn Merkley

GURL. What is fall without coffee cake?! That sweet, soft, fluffy, and warm crunchy, cinnamony and flakey cake. Pair it with our coffee for a full, blissful experience. I guarantee that you won't be leaving that warm bed anymore. It's quick, easy, and can be enjoyed as a snack, for breakfast, or dessert!


This Coffee Cake recipe is very simple. It takes us about 10 minutes to make before throwing it in the oven. After 30 minutes, you'll be devouring a tasty treat!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup oil

  • 2 eggs beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 3 cups flour

  • 3 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup butter melted

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl. combine oil, eggs, vanilla and milk together.

  • In a medium bowl, blend together sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.

  • Combine egg mixture with flour mixture. Pour half the batter into a lightly greased 9x13 pan.

  • In a medium bowl, prepare streusel by combining brown sugar and cinnamon.

  • Sprinkle half of the streusel on top of the batter. Top with remaining batter and then sprinkle the remaining streusel on top.

  • Drizzle with melted butter (you can do less and use 1/3 cup butter or up to 1/2 cup butter melted).

  • Bake, covered with foil at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Take off foil and bake an additional 10 minutes.
